Tau Enclave Forces - Gue'Vesa team Asimov

Led by Sgt. Asimov, his team is the longest serving one in the new Gue'Vesa garrisson of the Arc'Meinian 3rd Cadre. Forged seven years prior to the Gorov Incursion, being one of the first full squads that deserted the Duranium Salamanders regiment team Asimov is always seen there, where quick insertion and precise distractions are needed. Renown for their guerilla tactics, they form the specialist squad of individuals.

Sargeant Leonid Asimov is a long serving guardsman that started his career as a perimiter control troop in PDF back on Duranium at age 16. quickly raising in his ranks he wanted something more. By a special application posed by his peers he was inducted into the elite Duranium Salamanders imperial guard regiment, but, as always with imperial beraucracy, by a mistake he was stripped of his colonel rank and reinducted as a basic foot soldier. Learning his first lesson about the Imperial Guard, he decided to lay low, serving as a troop and more recently as a sargeant. Sacrificing his career path, he found himself a new role: a fatherly figure for his squad, and a drill sargeant for new troops.

"It's over nine thousand orcs!"



Venerable Brother Vegeto served for seven hundred years in varous Companies, but the last three centuries he has spent with the XIVth company of his beloved chapter. During the days of his service he grew fond of his captain, Serpus, treating him in a fatherly fashion, since he reminded him of his service before his intern in the sarcophagus. Famed Brother Vegeto fell during his heroic struggle to stop an invasion force of over nine thousand orcs on the hive city Parabello on Planet Praxeum in Segmentum Obscurus. He also was one of the dreadnoughts who fought during the first days of the abortive Damocles Bay Crusade. He couldn't forgive Serpus for his betrayal in aiding the Tau during the Gorov Crusade, and now, when his penitence is conquering and destroying these aliens, he is more than eager to restore his protege's family honour.

Tau Enclave Forces - Heretech Octavian

Heretech Octavian was a Promising Engineseer of the Cult Mechanicus. Until he was faced with a decision: Follow the Cult's teachings and let the technology die, or join the Tau with the rest of his regiment in hopes of better understanding and thus, preservation of the Imperial Technology that he loved so much. For now, he and some of his pupils are responsible for arming the Gue'Vesa regiment that followed Commander Snowmane from the Gorov system. He is an analogous rival of Forgefather Octavious with whom he is aquainted from the days of his loyal service.

Tau Enclave Forces - V.I.P. Camera Drone

The civilian people of Arc'Mein formed much out of Gue'La disidents and the military in their free time needed some recreation activities. Thus, the newest addition to the Fio's prototypes's list is a former security surveilance drone accomodated to help reporters in their duties, both on the everyday-life cases and on the battlefield reports. Even now, some of the more fluent Fire Warriors and Gue'Vesa warriors are assigned with a special task to prepare a good propaganda materials for the holo-broadcasts on Arc'mein Sept.

A fun project I did, that I've seen on 
many forums and pictures in the internet.
In most cases the camera was handled by a Fire Warrior or simillar,
But I really like the drone things, so this was why I decided on it.

First diorama of my Tau force. Note that the fire warriors utilize night pattern camouflage except for the leader. The crisis team is known as Purging Fists unit.

Imperial Forces - Techmarine Brother Ezechiel

Techmarine Brother Ezechiel is a personal pupil of Forgefather Octavius. Skilled in miniaturization art of technology and expert in artillery strikes. During peace-time he tends to machines, and during battles he often rides in Whirlwind artillery tanks or operates the Thunderfire Cannon.

Ezechiel is different from many other techmarines in that, that he didn't travel to Mars for his tutorial of the Machine God's teachings. Instead, being tutored personally by Forgefather Octavius of the Infinite Purple Serpents XIVth company. In spite of his master's unorthodox ways he remains very stalwart in the teachings of the Omnissiah and disaproves of the senior techmarine's inventions, resorting only to miniaturization of technology. He fallowed the Captain only becouse his master did so himself.

Imperial Forces - Serpent Ghosts


The ghosts that roam the battlefields where around from the start of Horus Heresy. Some say, they are the embodiment of the 11th Legion's Primarch conciousness, some say, they are the vengeful spirits of the Fallen Serpents. Nobody, even the great Librarian brother Beria, the best psyker in the legion does not know of their true origin. Some say, the Primarch knows of them, but he never speaks of the ghosts. They roam the battlefields seeking those of their kind who faltered. When they find one, they give him strenght and resolve to finish the mission. Should the downed battlebrother die, they take his body and he joins the wraith ranks of the Ghost Legion. They appear out of nowhere, and without notice. The ghastly glow they emanate with freezes the hearts of the enemies and allies alike. As you never know, if the Legionary will lend you his wraith hand or will he take you away. 

Lately, the Ghost Legionaries appear more and more often during the days of Harkin Invasion. They wear trophies taken from defeated Tau soldiers and they are trying to get as much of the Captain's attention as they can, as if they knew about the stain on his honour and want him to repent.

Author's Comments:

The Ghost Legionaries, as the tittle on the picture says, correspond to the special rules that the Damned Legionaries use. I always liked those guys, but I never liked the impression of them shown as a fiery chaplains. I always thought of them as Ghosts of the past, seeking to repent (even if I know their true identity). So then I decided to add a squad of them into my XI legion's fluff on my terms. I loved the ghostly effect that GW artists use on their zombie armies from WH:FB and I had to experiment with it. It's also good for holograms used by Tau, only I use them with a red undercoat over a white drybrush cover.
Still can't decide which is better, the glossy ghost, or the "naked" ghost.

Imperial Forces - Team Cobra

Sargeant Terminus is a battle hardened veteran. His almost two hundred years of service under Captain Serpus had proven him to be a great asset to the fourteenth company. Known as Serpus's right hand, he follows him loyally into any battle and some consider him the best choice for Serpus's would-be successor. A skilled tactician and sometimes a bit too hot-headed, Terminus leads team Cobra of the fourteenth company into the most fiercest of battles.

- Power Fist (if on Space Volves ruleset, he would get a Lighting claw)
- Melta bombs

Composed of hardened and most stalwart battlebrothers of the XIV company, they are the best tactical squad that the Captain might hope to command. Sometimes acting out of the line but kept in tight by sgt. Terminus, they are willing to achive the impossible without any regrets. They are the streanght and honour of their company.

Imperial Forces - Brother Captain Ignatus Serpus

Cpt. Ignatus Serpus of the XIVth company of Infinite Purple Serpents is a war-hardened veteran of over 430 battles against multiple foes, most of them being Chaos Traitors and Orcs. Stripped of his title of Great Captain by the Chapter Master, Primarch Rematan Viper, for allying himself with treacherous Tau xenos of Arc'Mein, he seeks to avenge his family honour by conquering Commander Snowmane's homeworld. Driven by his broken pride, he lost all feeling of kinship towards his old comrade.

Battlegrounds

Previously known as Harkin Prime, Arc'Mein is a sept world of almost 400 years of existance. An ex-imperial Hive-World thrown out of it's orbit by nuclear strikes it slowly frozed and lost all of it's moons. Now it has a larger solar orbit, eternal winter and became a death-world. The remnants of Imperial humans roam the ruined Hive-state and Tau rule this planet unquestioningly. On the snow dessert there lie many scientific outposts dedicated to warp-study, sub zero warfare, arctic survival and many more including electromagnetic weaponry. The sept gave birth only to three cadres and one large Planetary Defense Force ran by Gue'Vesa auxillaries, but all of them are strong in numbvers and they know their planet better than their own hides. Dedicated to Farsight since his rebellion broke out and situated near the Perdus Rift anomaly, it will prove a hard nut to crack for the incoming Imperial Invasion.
